MOPhotoGirl finished my gravatar, so it seemed like a good time for a new post, though I haven’t done anything too exciting for a few days. I want to note that MOPhotoGirl is very talented and thank her for her artistic efforts.
Labor Day weekend is almost here, and it seems Missouri is full of events people can check out, whether they’ll be in a metro area or one of the many small towns around the Show-Me State.
So, if you’re going to be traveling, be sure to do a little research ahead of time, as you might find a festival or event to your liking.
Some of the happenings around Missouri are: the Big Muddy Blues Festival in St. Louis, Santa-Cali-Gon Days in Independence, the Folk Music Festival and Ice-Cream Freeze Off in Arrow Rock, the Grape to Glass tour in Hermann or the Motorcycle and ATV Rides at St. Joe State Park in Park Hills.
For sports fans, the college football season opens for Missouri on Saturday at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, when the Tigers face Illinois. Meanwhile, the Royals are welcoming the Los Angeles Angels to town this weekend for a four-game set. The Cardinals will be tourists themselves this weekend as they travel to Pittsburgh.
If you’re not interested in any of the above events, make your way over to Windsor for the Windsor Septemberfest Cookoff and find something good to eat.
Whatever you’re going to be doing, have fun and travel safely!!
