Just in time for warmer weather, Missouri Wine is debuting a new feature, the Winery Explorer. Now, learning about the state’s wineries and planning your adventures in Missouri Wine country is easier than ever and available on your phone!
When you visit MissouriWine.org/wineries to look up information about any of the more than 125 wineries in the state, you will see a map with a Winery Finder on the left. Just click on the winery you want to know more about. The info pops right up! You can stay in Map View or switch to List View in the top right corner. Whichever view you prefer, there are three main components to get to know.
So, let’s break them down:
Winery Finder: The winery finder lets you narrow down your winery search by amenities or regions. Looking for a winery with outdoor seating, tastings and snacks? Want one in the Northwest region of the state? A few clicks, and you’ve got a list of all the wineries that fit your criteria. You can also find your desired winery by typing information into the search bar. Search by name, keyword, city or whatever your heart desires.
Trips: You can create a trip and get directions for your next adventure in a flash. Select one of Missouri’s nine wine trails or blaze your own. Name your trips and customize them to all your needs and desires. Once you have your trip perfected, simply click Route My Trip to receive directions that you can print, email or save. Creating an account is fast and easy, and it allows you to access your saved trips from your smart phone.
Mobile App: The free Missouri Wines mobile app (available on Android and iOS platforms) has been updated to include access to the trips you create on the Winery Explorer portion of the website. Simply login to the app using the account info you set up when you saved your trips. Select which you want to map and off you go! You will need location/GPS services turned on to see the real-time mapping of your trip.
So, what are you waiting for? Plan your next trip to Missouri Wine country. Download the free Missouri Wines app from the Apple AppStore or the Google Play Store today!
