The logic: ranks it among the city’s best breakfast spots, saying “Eggtc is everything.” That’s pretty good, right?

The logic: Add bacon or ham to your flatbread for a little protein boost at this restaurant, named one of the top brunch spots in the city by



The spot: Cosentino’s Market

The dish: Deli sandwich and a salad

The logic: A Kansas City institution, Cosentino’s is popular with the downtown lunch crowd and features a variety of choices, including several hot-food selections.


The spot: Jack Stack Barbecue – Freighthouse

The dish: Lunch combo plate

The logic: You get to choose two meats (maybe burnt ends and pork spare ribs?). Also, it’s Kansas City and you’re required to eat barbecue. It’s the law.
