STOP! It’s not over folks.
I know as a kid, when August hit, I started dreading school starting. It was all over. I thought of it as if the world was coming to an end. Well, in my infinite wisdom as an (aging) adult I can now appreciate every day and every season for what it is.
I am here to tell you it is not over. Grasp that last week and embrace the magic that is summer. This is never more prevalent than in our very own Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri.
One of the main reasons people come to visit the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks is not the typical reason you may think. Tax-free weekend, with new shoes, electronics, clothes and even household items, takes some of the sting out of school starting.
Some states bordering Missouri don’t have tax-free weekend as we do, so many shoppers come to Missouri for better prices before the school year starts. What better way than to “spend” it here at the Lake of the Ozarks. We have the Premium Outlet mall with more than 110 stores, and don’t forget to experience some of the local flavor with all the specialty shops and boutiques around the lake area. After all of your shopping you can enjoy your time on the water swimming, boating, tubing and many more activities.
So you see, it’s not all over. There is still plenty of fun to be had at Central Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. Be sure to try out our water parks or hiking trails. Whatever you do, include us as part of your last fiesta of the year.
Where do I start, you may ask. There’s a simple key to every door at the Lake of the Ozarks and that is FunLake.com. Download either of our apps at your carrier’s app store, and have fun in the dog days of summer.
