Is winter worrying you? Well, let’s think of a weather warmup with water and wakes to help shake off old man Winter.
The time of year has arrived when spring fever gets folks at Lake of the Ozarks, and all over our great state of Missouri, in its grip. We attend boat shows and spring festivals, and start thinking about summer fun.
Speaking of festivals and the like, in March we start getting the fever going with St Patrick’s Day festivities not only on land, but on the water as well.
This year Easter comes early, and with it, swap meets, great brunches and, of course, egg hunts for both kids and adults. Don’t forget the Dogwood Festival in April with crafts, activities and a carnival-like atmosphere.
One of the great kickoffs to the summer boating season is the Lake of the Ozarks Spring Harbor Hop, on May 7, where boaters spend a leisurely day visiting different participating establishments to build the best hand of cards for some great prizes. Check it out at Funlake.com.
Are you starting to feel warmer and beginning to smell summertime approaching?
Memorial Day hits full gear with fireworks, fun and food of all varieties. The summertime holds numerous other chances to see fireworks, great boat races with Lake Race and the Shootout, and some fantastic concerts at a variety of venues. All of the lake restaurants and bars (most approachable by water) are in full swing with live entertainment, activities and great food and beverages.
Now we are really starting to heat up! I can feel the ice melting, the sun coming out and the sensations of Lake of the Ozarks in the summer coming on. Be sure to seek out all that is happening at FunLake.com.
