Mother’s Day is coming up and if you’re looking for a special way to treat Mom, consider some of these great Missouri options to put a smile on her face.

Of course, Mom will enjoy a meal out with her favorite people so treat her by visiting one of Missouri’s wineries.

Food and Wine, a winning pair

Enjoy the beautiful view at Les Bourgeois Vineyards where Blufftop Bistro is offering a special brunch buffet from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (reservations recommended).

Across the state, at Chaumette Vineyards & Winery in Ste. Genevieve, Chef Rob Beasley is creating a special menu for Chaumette’s Annual Mother’s Day Brunch (reservations required) that includes a small gift for Mom.

Mother’s Day = Flowers

This Mother’s Day, rather than the traditional bouquet, treat Mom to a visit at the lush environs of Powell Gardens, situated on 970 acres of rolling hills and beautiful meadows outside of Kansas City in Kingsville on Highway 50. Café Thyme is offering a special buffet (reservations required) or take your own picnic lunch and enjoy live music by Victor & Penny. The annual plant sale takes place Mother’s Day weekend, which means you can buy her something to take home.

Mom will have no problem finding something to delight her green thumb at Vintage Hill Farms. They offer more than 1,700 varieties of annuals, vegetables, herbs, perennials, tropical, roses and shrubs. Located in Franklin, just a short drive off I-70 (on Highway 87, about six miles northwest of Boonville), the farm is also home to horses, Highlander cattle, peafowl, chickens and adorable Welsh Pembroke Corgis.

From there, it’s a 30-minute drive to Blackwater, where Mom can enjoy comfort-food specials at Iron Horse Hotel & Restaurant (reservations recommended).

These are just a few of the places to make lasting Mother’s Day memories your Mom will cherish for years to come. Explore VisitMO.com to learn more about other restaurants and sights to see when you show Mom the Show-Me State.
