Whether you’re interested in cooling off at SplashZone or checking out our Route 66 attractions, there’s plenty of fun to be had this summer in Rolla.
One great way to enjoy your time in Rolla is to see a production at the Ozark Actors Theatre (OAT), which will continue its 25th summer season of live, professional theatre with “Noises Off.” The show starts Thursday, July 12, at the Cedar Street Playhouse, 701 North Cedar, in Rolla.
This popular, hilarious comedy has been called the funniest farce ever written and has never before been presented on the OAT stage. OAT has assembled a top-notch cast of professional actors from New York, Indiana, Dallas, and St. Louis to present this laugh-riot.
Producing Artistic Director Jason Cannon says, “After a delightful and sold out production of ‘Wizard of Oz,’ Rolla is in for another treat!”
Cannon, who has worked as an actor and producer for “Noises Off” in the past, is directing the show for the first time.
“Even though it’s my third time working on the show, it simply never gets old,” he says. “It’s a perfect comedy, blending slapstick, farce, puns, and verbal wit. The jokes fly so fast you barely have time to breathe!”
“Noises Off” is sponsored by Brewer Science and runs July 12-22. Shows are Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at OzarkActorsTheatre.org or by calling 573-364-9523.
