Summertime Fun at Lake of the Ozarks

Ahh, my friends, it is that time of year again when the trees are green, winter is a distant memory, kids are out of school and we turn our attention to summer time fun at beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake Area’s summer kicked into full gear with Memorial Day weekend and all of its activities. Of course the night sky lit up with numerous dazzling fireworks displays all over the Lake and in parks. Restaurants had outdoor grills going to provide all the great food we associate with summer holiday seasons.  Fourth of July has an even larger array and more of the above while Labor Day is not forgotten with a long weekend full of fun for the family.

Phew, it’s getting hot, you may need to cool off. Boating comes to the forefront of water activities from wakeboarding and jet skiing to simply finding your favorite cove and kicking back on a raft. Countless restaurants and bars have live music all week long and many different varieties of menus to suit anyone’s taste. What’s that? Don’t have a boat? Don’t sweat it; we got you covered with countless boat and wave runner rentals on all sections of the lake.

Not everything happens on the water though. Hot Summer Nights and Bike Nights on the Bagnell Dam strip are a great draw for those who are seeking thrills off the water. Shopping abounds throughout Lake of the Ozarks from the Premium Factory Outlets to all the quaint shops at The Landing and around the entire area. Water parks, zip lines, miles of nature trails, show caves and other outdoor activities round out things that provide days of fun. Don’t forget to take in a great concert at several venues around The Lake.
