A unique aspect of live music at Lake of the Ozarks is the number of places that feature waterfront and/or on water concerts. Several venues feature floating stages where you can watch, listen and jam from the water, a beach or deck areas. Most of these venues feature live music through the week as well. All are approachable by land or water with plenty of dock space.
If off the water is more your gig …
Many of the area bars and nightclubs play host to well known bands in the area and have special events throughout the year – anything from Karaoke to our own version of American Idol. The Bagnell Dam strip area bars and restaurants host lots of local talent with many varieties of different food experiences that include: oysters, Mexican, world class pizza and good ol’ American fare.
Other great ways to soak up a lot of entertainment, in a short amount of time, are the special events held throughout the year. Lake of the Ozarks’ Bikefest is held September 17-20, and boasts over 50 live music and entertainment shows with local, regional and national acts. There are some major vendor areas that have bands going all hours of the day. Several of our wineries have everything from smaller local events up to headline name national acts. County Fairs and local festivals also host a wide array of music with genres from Blue Grass and Country to Classic Rock and 80’s.
The Pub Crawl, held in February, is the largest of its kind anywhere in the world (just ask Mr. Guinness) and has over 20 participating bars and restaurants. Most of the participating establishments showcase live entertainment. Aquapalooza, held in July, keeps things cool with a huge floating stage that draws over 1ooo boats through the weekend and can also be viewed from land.

The brand new Ozarks Amphitheatre is a full blown ten thousand seat concert venue with concessions, ample parking and lawn seating. They even boast a VIP section next to the stage with table service.
The previous owners of Red Rocks in Colorado have brought their expertise to the Lake area and we are looking forward to top name entertainment. They have a full slate of entertainment already lined for the summer, and they are just getting started.
